In the Pink.

My garden is full of pink this summer
and
I'm also feeling in the pink.

Almost recovered from my surgery.
I'm  now able to do lots of things which have been on hold

Come with me and enjoy some of my PINK.

Not the usual sort of thing I put in my garden.

This was given to me last year by the Floral committee
along with my diploma as part of my prize .

Not sure how long this will have a place in my garden !
It's now tucked in a corner till I get used to seeing it.

The only Lily I managed to see.
The Lily bug ate the rest before they were able to bloom.

Welcome to La Petite Maison our holiday rental house.

View from the sun deck.

Echinacea  (Poupres)

Phlox ( panicilarta )
A present given to me for my new flower bed.
to be created in Autumn.

Wild Foxglove
Which pop up somewhere different each year.

I hope you enjoyed my Pink mood

I'll leave with a pretty posy
to enjoy what ever mood you are in.

à bientôt

  1. Barbara,
I am lovin' all the PINK on here today. La Petite Maison is so charming. I love the stone wall, the flowers in the window box, and the deck. And the little girl in your garden is sweet too. You know, the PINK rose is my second favorite rose.

I hope you are well, friend.

    love,
    ~Sheri

  2. Good Evening Barbara, I am so pleased to hear that your are 'in the pink' and back to your old self. I know what you mean about the little pink girlie ornament, but do you know there is something very appealing about it..... maybe it is the large eyes and smiley face.
What a shame the the lilly bugs ate your lillies before they flowered... it is so disappointing.
I love the the planters on your window sills and the curtains you have hanging in the window just complete the picture. Are they lace curtains?
Sorry, not being nosey just inquisitive!
The dishes are washed so I am now going to watch the news, to see what is happening in the world.
    Best Wishes
    Daphne

  5. Your post made me smile for many reasons, the most important being that you are so much better…that is wonderful. Guests that stay at the La Petite Maison must be thrilled when they first see it.

  6. Golly, I LOVE your pink mood! And I'm so glad you are feeling better! I got so depressed after surgery and impatient to do things. Your little cottage is just wonderful! So glad things are looking up for you! And so kind of you to pay me a visit!

  10. Oh Barbara - there is nothing prettier than pink in the garden. So glad you were able to have your pink lily bloom. Didn't know there was a lily bug. Great news that you are almost fully recovered from your surgery. Now go and enjoy that beautiful garden. Thank you for all the lovely pics...just enjoyed seeing them. Have a delightful week.

  11. Hello dear Barbara
Yes I loved your pinks and I've added the Echinacea and the Phlox to my summer planting list now!
I'm like you when it comes to those garden ornaments - not me really. However I have a funny little gnome temperature gauge that friends gave me many years ago for a special birthday - more as a joke! I've put it in an inconspicuous place!!!

PS Good news to hear you are feeling "in the pink" too!
